The path of health and friendship
The thin, winding thread of track that connects Trieste with Poreč had a great contribution to the economic development of Istria. This 123 km long railway in its 33 years of functioning has left an indelible mark on the entire area. Today, the entire route of the former railway is settled and suitable for hikers and bikers, along the trails there are numerous resting places and sightseeing spots.
Don’t forget: water, sunscreen, personal ID (if you intend to cross the border), sunglasses, helmet and snacks. Certain segments are poorly illuminated (tunnels), so a flashlight might come in handy.
