A 5-course culinary experience at three unique locations. From an appetizer to the main course and dessert.
The Culinary Walk includes an independent visit to three carefully selected locations in Izola, where a 5-course menu awaits you, consisting of an appetizer, cold starter, warm starter, main course with a side dish, and dessert. At each location, you will enjoy a carefully selected wine pairing. Your culinary evening is organised in advance, and all participating locations are informed of your arrival and the planned itinerary of the experience. You move between the locations independently, at your own pace.
The experience lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and takes place at a relaxed pace that allows you to enjoy each course. All three locations are situated in close proximity to one another in the old town of Izola, so the walks between them are short and take only a few minutes.
If you wish, you can also take the opportunity to explore Izola independently. Before or after the culinary experience, you can visit the Church of St. Mary of Alieto, stroll through the picturesque streets of the old town, visit the mandrač, or continue along the seaside promenade. This allows you to combine the culinary experience with discovering Izola according to your own wishes and at your own pace.

We begin the evening in an intimate wine setting, where the focus is on a carefully selected range of wines from local and other Slovenian wine-growing regions. Here, you will be welcomed with an opening glass of wine that sets the tone for the entire evening. Alongside it, you will discover some interesting facts about the selected wine, its origin and characteristics, taking the first step on your culinary exploration of Izola.
The walk continues to one of Izola’s most authentic taverns, where tradition meets a modern approach. At Gostilna Bujol, you will enjoy a cold starter prepared from fresh local ingredients and Mediterranean flavors. The dishes reflect the proximity of the sea and seasonality, while the wine pairing highlights every flavor and texture.
The experience concludes by the sea, where an elegant restaurant with a marina view awaits. Here, the culinary story continues with a warm starter and a main course combining modern techniques and local ingredients. A refined dessert follows for a sweet and elegant ending.
